OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our “in-church” Good Sam Food Closet is being used much more frequently!
This program provides emergency food to those encountering unforeseen difficulties.
Add an item each week to your shopping list, then drop off at the church on your way home !
Canned meats, vegetables and fruits, soups, pasta and sauce, cereal,
packaged milk, rice, beans, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, cracker, diapers
Also– small soaps, shampoos are welcome -- lotions and perfumes are especially nice!!
You may also donate Scrip cards to the Deacons to purchase items needed to complete a bag!
All of your donations are greatly appreciated by the families in our communities.
Meals on Wheels is a vital program in our community and in desperate need of drivers.
Just one day a week - for a couple of hours delivering meals to those who are ill and/or disabled.
“Substitute drivers” are also needed. Please call Irene Wirtenberger to volunteer -- 337-4972
___
“Touch of Home” - for our deployed soldiers - Please donate and let them know you care!
A collection box is in the Social Hall with a list of requested items. Magazines are a BIG HIT !!
Your $$ donations are welcome, too, to help with shipping costs.
Please contact Bill and Diane Boone, 338-0876, for information and/or to volunteer to help !
